1966, Démarrage This is one of the first canvasses in which the new theme is the moon. To take off to this heavenly body an engine in the centre, represented by a spiral winding round an axis, seems to drive ellipsoidal and rectangular shapes to the right-hand side of the space. The palette is softer and wider. Blues from very pale blue to dark blue, passing through mauve, enhance a poppy-red, set off by warm yellow, secondary colours, orange and green and a grey scratched with black lines. The whole range of colours is ready to take off to the moon.
